ALL HONOUR, ALL POWER TO OUR GOD

I have been so inspired by the topic of ‘Honour’ in this session. If we are to return to honour, we must first return all honour to our God. The words, ‘my fire on the mountain tops’ came to me and reminded me of the time I saw a volcano erupting. All powerful, I stood in absolute awe, felt the heat, saw the colours of an ever changing landscape, thought of how awesome our God truly is and how we so often do not honour fully who He is. We tend to wrap ourselves in our own powerlessness instead of seeing how God honours us if we honour Him for who He is. A sense of holy reverence and awe is produced when our Creator displays His majesty in the created things of nature.

I love what Job 37:23-24 says-
“We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty; but even though He is just and righteous, He does not destroy us. No wonder people everywhere fear Him. ALL WHO ARE WISE SHOW HIM REVERENCE.”

When we are one with Him and one in His glory then we honour Him fully and we fully honour each other. To love Him is to honour Him, to love each other is to honour all those made in His perfect image. Be a vessel to bring godly honour back into the places where man’s honour has prevailed for so long. Speaking honour to those who are dishonourable will begin to melt hearts of stone and allow Father God to gently mould them into hearts of flesh.
